My husband reminded me of something I'd told him the day I first met the Norns. They came in like a whirlwind during my meditation, and gave me an invocation to use when I wanted to talk to them. That shall remain personal, but I had been invited to join a spiritual group of women - The Women of the Wyrd. I would be interested in hearing from anyone else who has had similar experiences.
The Norns have been guiding me along a path of releasing my shadows into the light. As I meet each shadow self, I am able to identify areas of childhood wounding, and as such, parent myself and integrate those aspects of myself into wholeness. As this process unfolds step by step I find fresh energy and a gradual unburdening of emotional pain I have carried for a long time. This is not an easy process, and it requires total self honesty and the willingness to see a situation as it is, not as I would prefer it to be. This is soul healing in its depths.
Those of us who are called to be energy healers and spirit workers seem to have to go through this process lest our ability to work objectively with others and their pain be blocked by our own "stuff." A friend of mine once likened it to a garbage can that we all drag around with us throughout life. There is not a great deal you can do about the content of your garbage can, which is your life experiences, but you can sift through the contents to find the gold.
You are valuable, the content of your life is valuable, each of us has something to teach somebody. Today this blog is a comment upon finding and verifying your self worth.
